Dj Roli Fingaz |
 |
Using a unique combination of multi-beat blends and exclusive acapella remixes; Roli Fingaz has quickly established himself as a premier mixtape DJ. He continues to bless the masses with new iterations of his creative and highly sought after "Fire Blends" mixtape series and his exclusive "My Time To Shine" hip hop mixtape series. Now, if youve heard a Roli Fingaz mixtape before then you know why Rolis got everyone saying
"ROLI GIVEEM THE FINGAAAA!!!", suffocating the competition with panoply of talent such as Jay-Z, Nas, Eminem, 50 Cent, Jadakiss, Beyonce, R. Kelly, Usher and many more, resulting in Roli receiving a nomination for an award for "Best New Mixtape DJ" in the 2003 Justos Mixtape Awards ceremony held in New York City. In addition, Roli Fingaz in November 2004 made his national television debut on BETs Rap City, Tha Bassment along side recording artist Ja Rule and host Big Tigger. Not to be over looked, Rolis mixtape skills helped him earn a spot on the 2004 April issue of the Source Magazine in the "Ear To The Streets" section for his classic and much talked about "Fire Blends Pt.7" (best of Jay-Z blends) mixtape, which has received rave reviews for its creativity and originality as Roli was the first DJ ever to take Jay-Zs hits throughout his triumphant career and flip his vocals with multi-beats in such a way that highlights the talent Jay-Z really was. As the word gets out, Roli Fingaz is now being considered as one of todays brightest and most talented DJs in the mixtape industry with a even brighter future ahead of him as he expands his musical talent and creativity on producing beats for artist as well as opening doors for the hottest unsigned rap group in the streets
"Da Block Controllers". Born in Queens New York and raised in the Bronx, Roli Fingaz a 27-year-old Ecuadorian-American, initial introduction to the tools of his current trade came through experimenting with a friends belt-driven turntables and old record collection. This evolved into enough of an interest that Roli began working with a Gemini DJ start-up kit and spinning at parties held at a local community center. Considering DJing as nothing more than a hobby, Roli enrolled at SUNY New Paltz in the fall of 1997. However, Roli urge to continue spinning led to his turntables taking up residence in his dorm room after a semester long hiatus. From there talent and perseverance materialized into regular gigs at local bars and clubs and eventually employment at the campus radio station. Having to meet college radio requirements and regulations allowed Roli to develop a good understanding of engineering and production. This skill set allowed him to start promoting his talent and skills through promotional mixtapes. Focused on distinguishing himself from the myriads of other mixtape DJs and being creative, he choose to do blends on his mixtapes as opposed to simply throwing songs together which many DJs sadly do now a days. He quickly garnered a loyal following and appreciation from hip-hop purists for the incredible confluence of hot beats and rhymes that he offered. Currently, Roli Fingaz continues to promote his mixtapes through his own production company, "And Judo Know" Entertainment. In addition, in the year 2000 Roli Fingaz began producing party break records, for AV8 Records, Bud Records, and Slammin' Records receiving worldwide distribution of his production work. In addition, getting worldwide airplay on radio stations as well as nightclubs. The worldwide sales of these party break records and widespread distribution of his mixtapes has helped expand Rolis name and talent to every continent. Not one to be content, Roli has also been honing his production skills and is eliciting heavy interest in his beats from numerous labels. He is in active negotiation for a production deal with Roc-A-Fella Records, Epic Records, Columbia Records to name a few. With each new area of the music industry Roli succeeds in, he further solidifies his status as one of the most talented young DJs in hip-hop today. |

DJ Syn City |
 |
SynCity is no stranger to the game. She was first a street-performer break-dancing in Time Square, in New York City. Her b-girl skills led her to back-up dancing gigs for the likes of Will Smith to Foxy Brown on their tours and music videos.
In between time, she worked at Cornerstone Promotions for two years. The lounge room of the office was the place where she would spend her lunch breaks practicing on the turntables while DJs from across the nation would stop by and watch. They would give her tips and encourage her to keep doing her thang. Eventually, the hobby turned into a paid gig and then slowly into a living.
She has been into the deejaying artform ever since her early teens and was a fan of turntablists like Q-bert, the X-Men (X-ecutionners), Kuttin Kandi, A-Track and the DMC competitions. The movie which featured Tupac and Omar Epps called Juice convinced her to beg anybody that had their turntable set to show her how to DJ. Syn use to spin at block parties in Harlem, the Uptown Comedy Club, Club Cheetahs, Café DeVille and many more places using other peoples record until she had her own.
Syn got her first taste of the mixtape scene after being asked by a friend to put one together to promote an online TV show they both produced called the Circuit. Around the same time, she had received her first set of turntables as a gift from a veteran in the game. That is when she took deejaying and mixtapes seriously.
Now, SynCity holds it down in the clubs and venues everywhere from Philly to Cincinnati and her mixtapes can be found around the globe. One of her major mixtape, Vote or Die, hosted by Rap Mongol, P.Diddy, put her on the map and opened a lot of opportunities. It was delivering a more-so political message to the streets and has received positive reviews by music industry insiders and consumers. Moving forward, she wants to expand into the deejaying and mixtape field and also plans to share her other passions with the world in the near future. SynCity also make beats, rhyme, produces an online tv show, and have many more hidden talents.
SynCity has just released Dead Presidents, a mixtape in memory of all the late rappers and r&b singers that made an impact in hip-hop. She is also Roc-A-Fellas own, Nicole Wrays current DJ and works at Bad Boy Records part-time. You can check out for some more info on www.triplefat.com |
