Pitbull's new album EL MARIEL is set to drop late June. This will serve as the follow up to his certified gold debut M.I.A.M.I. Why El Mariel?

El Mariel was the visual picture at the beginning of Scarface as approximately 124,000 undocumented Cuban migrants entered the United States by a flotilla of mostly US vessels in violation of US law. Pitbull choose that name because the same way the MARIEL boatlift was received was similar to how his entrance to the rap game. The people on the boatlift were called Manultio and they were know to grab at any opportunity (like a pitbull) and take advantage of it. His sophomore album has high expectations, it will feature production from Lil Jon, DJ Khaled, Mr. Collipark, Diaz Bros, Jim Jonson, Pharell, etc with appearances from Diddy, Lil Wayne, Lil Jon, Bun B, Tego Calderon, T.I., Twista, Akon and others
