| When the first single hit the air you could tell John Legend had talent. Maybe your thinking he's just going to be a one hit wonder, maybe you think he's going to be the biggest singer. Whatever the case, you can't deny his talent. His voice and piano playing talent bring the best out of the cd. Listening to the cd, its almost impossible to say there's a weak song on the entire cd. Some of the songs that really stick out amongst the bunch are: .:Ordinary People:. The song probably would relate to all couples out there it goes over the ups and downs of a relationship. .:Used To Love You:. This song hits home with men or even some women who had a relationship with someone who wanted more than love in a relationship and that's all they could afford to give but it just wasn't good enough. .:I Can Change:. With Snoop Dogg on the song it touches on a man that's willing to change everything in his life for a woman. This is something you don't hear expressed so well that often. If you listen to this cd, you will see why we've rated it 5 stars. |

| With artists such as DMX, Sleepy Brown, Nate Dogg, Nas, Trick Daddy, and Doug E. Fresh on tracks this album came with a bang. The song "Get Back" that was released as his first single is sure to turn heads. The cd has samples such as Austin Power's theme song and Doug E. Fresh's Beat Boxing. You can't go wrong. The track listing consists of hot track after hot track. The album consists of "street" songs but he uses a sense of humor while performing them, making the songs enjoyable for all listeners. A few songs really stick out amongst the rest such as "Child Of the Night" Feat. Nate Dogg and "Blueberry Yum Yum" Feat. Sleepy Brown. They Bring originality as well as clever and ear catching lyrics. Although the cd is a great listen, it's missing sometheing to make it stand out in the crowd, that extra element to bump it to the next level. Which is why it earned a 4 star rating. |
